What is bagasse?
Bagasse is the natural fiber that remains after extracting juice from sugarcane. Instead of being wasted or burned, it can be transformed into strong, eco-friendly tableware — helping reduce plastic pollution and support sustainable living.
Why is bagasse better than plastic?
Unlike plastic, bagasse products are biodegradable and compostable. They decompose naturally within months, while plastic takes hundreds of years and releases toxic chemicals into the environment. Bagasse is renewable, safe, and planet-friendly.
How is bagasse tableware made?
After extracting juice from sugarcane, the leftover pulp (bagasse) is cleaned, processed, and molded under heat and pressure into various shapes like plates, bowls, and trays. This process requires no plastic coating or harmful additives.
Is bagasse tableware safe for health?
Absolutely. Bagasse products are natural, non-toxic, and chemical-free. They are safe for serving all kinds of food and do not release harmful substances when heated.
What does “compostable” mean?
